  • Our mission in life is to reinvent non-profit fundraising.
  • Instead of asking for money, why not just ask someone to play a fun mobile game? People love playing mobile games. Giving money? Not so much.
  • We don't charge non-profits for this. It's our way of giving back.
  • We thought digital advertising could help with the fundraising. But no one likes 60-second TV commercials or banner ads forced on them. And quite frankly, they pay terrible, so they wouldn't contribute much.
  • We thought about market surveys. They pay much better. But online surveys are awful — epically so — especially on mobile.
  • So what would any self-respecting tech company do in this situation? Of course, create our own survey network.
  • Along the way, we realized we were reinventing a second industry: Market research.
  • So we've changed our company name from Big Heart Trivia to Big Heart Technology . To better reflect what we do, and that is to invent all kinds of technology to help make the world a little bit better place.
